The arena is a merciless place, never pausing to give a moment to breathe. As time progresses, the situation becomes increasingly critical; the environment shifts like clockwork, new enemies emerge, and the fight for survival starts anew each time.
Each wave introduces new units and alters the environment by adding various types of tiles and placing them on the defined hexagons on the map. The common rules of unit spawning apply. Loot placed on a unit’s location will be immediately collected or destroyed, depending on the unit’s behavior.
Each round ends the wave counter progresses. The wave begins when the defined round number is reached on the wave round counter.
If all waves and their rounds have passed and the hero has not reached the door, the wave counter resets to 1, restarting the whole process. During this reset, only enemies are introduced, and loot tiles are no longer placed on the map.
Bonus waves can be triggered when certain requirements are met. Challenge waves can be started if the player chooses to accept them. Optional waves depend on specific entrance criteria and are skipped if those criteria are not fulfilled. Rewards from optional waves are collected when the wave round counter progresses to the next wave or when the game is completed.
Requirements: Specifies the conditions needed to enter the wave.
Pay: Details what the player must pay to enter the wave.
Loot: The reward collected when the wave is completed.
